Load the list of keywords into rank tracker, type in the website you want it to check and it'll god out and find out where your website ranks for each keyword on various search engines.

IM Mindset
There is only one mindset really and that's like the Nike slogan goes, 'Just Do It'. I spent months and months in analysis paralysis.
If you're into buying WSO's (at the warrior forum if you've not heard of them) and not taking any action on them, stop now.
Go back and choose a couple and work at them for at least a month before you even think of quitting.
The best thing to do is to come up with a plan and execute it. Don't give up on you're plan until you're making money. Thomas Eddison made 10,000 attempts before he created the light bulb. Do you really think dabbling for a day or two on a couple of methods is gonna make you any money.
Stop reading, buying contemplating, doubting, analyising and just do something, anything. Learn from doing and making mistakes not reading and doing nothing.

Search Engine Optimisation - Keyword Research
You'll hear so many different views on keyword research so this is the way I do it. It's my opinion and works best for me. After reading this I suggests you do some more research and develop you're own way of doing it.
This research is what I use for article and niche marketing. Firstly you'll need visit the following website.
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?forceLegacy=true
Once there type in the seed keyword which is what your main topic is about. If your website or article is about dog training then type in dog training here.
The google tool will then present you with some results. Now ensure that you choose exact match. What this does is show you how many times over last month that exact phrase was searched for in the google search engine.
Your goal is to try to get to number 1 in the rankings for the term you select. In order to do this you need to analyse the competition.
Now go to travistraffic.com and download the software. Don't worry it's free. Once installed select analyse keyword and type in one of the keyword phrases you've found on the google tool.
You're only interested in the top ten and a few of the columns.
The title, desc and H1 columns will be full of green ticks and red crosses. Over the three columns there are 30 boxes. Any more than 10 boxes with a green tick and I move on.
The BL column, this is backlinks to the website. The lower the better. Any more than 3 with 50 links or more and I move on.
The PR column. Add all of the figures up in the top 10 and if they total 30 or more I move on.
Never get hung up on a keyword. If it doesn't fit in the criteria move on.
One final note, The more searches for a keyword the better. I never choose a keyword with less than 3,000 searches per month and try for keywords with more than 10,000 searches per month

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is about getting your website to the top of the Search Engine Ranking Pages (SERP's). The biggy is google. Getting to number 1 for your selected keyword will bring in approximately 40-50% of all of the traffic for that keyword, after position 1 the percentage of traffic you'll get drops dramatically so getting to number 1 is vital.

Backlinking - Another Sneaky Tip
To automate the previous post a little bit more you can set up an alert on your google account. Sign into your google account and goto 'google account settings'
Find google alerts and add a new alert.
Fill in the following information
Search item - the username you've aquired form you blog searches
Type - Everything
How often - as-it-happens
E-mail length - up to 20 results
Deliver to - e-mail
Everytime google finds another instance of that username it'll send you an email with a link to that webpage. Set and forget.
Genius.

I've got the next best thing to a backlink packet and guess what, it's free. Here's what you do.
Search out some high pagerank bloggs related to your niche. The scroll down to the comments section. Note down the usernames of all the people who've placed comments.
Take this username and type it into google. Ususally these usernames are quite unique like angelboy58205. every instance of this user name will now be displayed in the search engines.
Most of the sites listed will be forums and bloggs. If you like you can do more advanced searched to just find forums or bloggs.
You already know that these bloggs get indexed and your comments stick because if they didn't the search engine would never have found them.
